Technical Overview
⚠️ Clockwise is shutting down on March 27, 2026. No new integrations or API usage should be built on this platform.
- Calendar Integration: Clockwise connected natively to Google Calendar and used calendar API scopes to read, create, and modify events on behalf of users.
- Smart Holds: Programmatically created calendar events (Focus Time, Travel Time, Meeting Breaks) were managed as "Smart Hold" events tagged with Clockwise metadata (the green sparkle indicator). Upon shutdown, all Smart Hold events will be automatically removed.
- Flexible Meetings: Meetings flagged as Flexible were dynamically repositioned by Clockwise's scheduling engine using team-wide availability signals and user-defined constraints.
- Scheduling Links: Externally shareable booking URLs were generated and managed by Clockwise, functioning similarly to Calendly. These links will cease to function on March 27, 2026.
- Agentic Architecture: Clockwise was an early adopter of agentic software patterns for calendar automation, a capability the team is bringing to Salesforce's Agentic Enterprise initiative.
