Braintrust is a full-stack AI observability and evaluation platform built around Brainstore, a proprietary database designed specifically for the complexity of nested AI trace data. It provides native SDKs for Python, TypeScript, Go, Ruby, C#, and more, enabling low-overhead trace ingestion with just a few lines of code. The platform supports online scoring, automated pattern clustering (Topics), versioned datasets, and quality gates — all framework-agnostic with no vendor lock-in. It also exposes an MCP server so coding agents can query logs, run evals, and update prompts directly from the IDE.
